As the country recovers from the Great Recession, The 11th Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey of Employers finds they are optimistic about the U.S. economy and their own company’s financial situation. However, the research also finds that despite this optimism, most companies continue to be reluctant to make significant changes to their retirement plans, such as adding or enhancing key plan features. The survey examines employers' expectations of the economy, retirement benefit offerings, and perceptions of employee engagement in retirement planning.
The research report is based on a survey of more than 600 employers conducted between December 2009 and January 2010.
