Household Income
Financial resources tremendously influence the life experiences of individuals and families. Transamerica Institute and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies conduct extensive surveys and research on the health and well-being, employment, personal finances, and retirement security of individuals and families based on their level of household income – with an emphasis on middle income Americans.
The research examines factors contributing to household income in order to provide a greater understanding of the issues faced across the income spectrum, specific vulnerabilities of low- to moderate-income people, and potential opportunities for enhancing their livelihoods and lives. The research offers recommendations for individuals, employers, and policymakers for improving outcomes.
