A Compendium of Findings About American Employers: The 15th Annual Transamerica Retirement Survey describes how employers continuing to recover from what is commonly referred to as the Great Recession and its after-effects. Although many remain cautious after the recession on their businesses, this year’s survey found more employers hiring and fewer implementing cost-cutting measures. The vast majority of employers offer some form of retirement benefits, yet relatively few are confident that their employees will be able to achieve a comfortable lifestyle when they retire.

The research report offers a wide range of employer perspectives about their businesses, their specific retirement benefit offerings and plan features, and perceptions of their employees’ retirement preparations.

The survey of more than 750 employers was conducted in 2014.
